And so it begins...
August is the most cosmically charged month of 2017. We’re off to the races on Monday with the first Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius inside a Leo/Aquarius eclipse series that will write a story in our lives until 2019. Lunar Eclipses are Full Moons, remember, so the Universe is expressing a full circle moment in all ideas under Aquarius’ jurisdiction like: friendship dynamics, collectives, authentic alignment with the tribe, equal standard for all, humanitarian ventures, and politics. Reflect on circumstances in your life that began in February ‘17 to locate the Aquarian theme of your elliptical journey. More often than not, Full Moons call forth an ending of some kind. And endings always occur before beginnings, right? So if the Universe is redirecting you to focus on an area in your life that has reached its symbolic end, it’d be wise to lovingly let it go.
Surrender your attachment to its outcome. And then a harmonizing impulse will enter into the circumstance; lifting it to divine right order. It'll provide the space for a new beginning to express itself. But gentle detachment is necessary first; especially during eclipse season.
Since astrology does not occur in a vacuum, it’s important to note that Saturn in Sagittarius and Jupiter in Libra are aligned in a beneficial aspect to Monday’s Aquarius Eclipse which creates the structured context (Saturn) towards a beloved community of equals (Jupiter/Lunar Eclipse). Show up to this moment by recognizing your special assignment within the collective and be the proactive recognition in helping other people in your find theirs. Monday’s Eclipse is the first Aquarius Eclipse within the Leo/Aquarius eclipse activation so stay in this new and powerful energy for the rest of the week.
On Saturday August 12th, Messenger Planet Mercury goes retrograde for the 3rd time this year. Since Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun, its revolution is only 88 Earth days; hence its quarterly retrograde. Now before you buy into the panic, take a deep breathe and remember - because I’m going to write it in almost every horoscope I write - the Universe is invested in your highest self-actualization. It’s not out to get you. Mercury RX is not an inherently bad transit. It’s a 3 week long experience to promote a slower pace, mindfulness, reevaluation, rest, and redoing. Action for the sake of action is not action. For more, read my (re)trograde review. Most of us know by now that we make mistakes because we didn’t think long and deeply enough. We moved too fast, spoke too fast, and lacked the mental musculature to slow down, and pay attention. So take advantage of the Retrograde energy well to reflect deeply on areas in your life that the Aquarius Lunar Eclipse brought up for you and strategize high-minded intentionality to elevate it as best you can.
Since Mercury will RX in Virgo first, my recommendation is to pay a critically focused attention to the minor details on your consciousness and communication habits. A Course in Miracles says all thought becomes form on some level, so ask yourself - what images, thoughts, words, and language fly across my mind that promote my highest possibility and relationship dynamic for all people involved? How am I proactively introducing thoughts of healing, forgiveness, and non judgement? Virgo curates. Virgo simplifies. Virgo cleans. Life is complicated but Truth is simple. We all know what we need to do to clean our mental capabilities and communication styles so while Mercury is RX, it’s a powerful time to get to work. Lean on your Aquarian community so you’re not alone in this process.
